Service Technician Main Purpose of Role:

  • Leeds (LS1)
  • From £9.35 to £9.85 per annum
Service Technician Main Purpose of Role:
To deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance.
Service Technician-
Providing client base with both Contract Management & Service Support, Specialising in Water Hygiene related activities whilst maintaining legislative compliance including the ability to assess, diagnose, determine the most appropriate resolution and support to any interruptions / issues which may evolve within those assets managed.
Areas – Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford. 4-5 days per week
Specific Duties (this list is not exhaustive):
The key duties of the role are:• Deliver a high level of customer service whilst meeting health and safety, financial, KPI, statutory, quality and contractual compliance.
• Identify, Develop and maintain relationships in relation to those clients within the geographical patch.
• (Contract Retention) renew and secure growth business associated with allocated client base.
• Ensure that Revenue and Margin plans are achieved across the allocated client base
• Work with the scheduling team and operations management to maximise productivity and efficiency.
• Carrying out monitoring and associated tasks in line with ACoP L8 as directed by Scheduler / Line Manager
• Completion of all required documentation to ensure compliance with legislation.
• Provide support to both customers and colleagues with technical input where required.
• Schedule workload & multi-site visits across diverse geographic locations.
• Carry out Hazard/Risk assessments as required on each individual sites.
• Manage personal workloads to ensure maximum productivity and effective time management.
• Discuss any concerns relating to contractual changes required and remediation works including areas of potential noncompliance with Client / Account Managers / Regional Managers.Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
• Previous experience within the Water Treatment Industry
• City & Guilds or similar accredited Legionella control training
• Good knowledge of both Domestic and Industrial water systems
• The ability to work alone in a multi-site capacity, working to strict quality control systems and operational procedures
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic IT applications- MS Word, Excel
• Working knowledge of the respective legislation and guidance material (ACoP L8,HTM: 0401, Water Regulations, BS 8580)
• Account management
Desirable:
• Experience working with chlorine dioxide systems
• Supervisory experience
Education and Training:
Essential:
• GCSE Maths, English &Science
• Full UK driving license
• Computer literate
• Water Hygiene BS02 & CG CourseDesirable:
• 3 year’s experience within a Water Treatment Service Role
• Vocational training courses relating to water hygiene
• Detailed knowledge of design of hot and cold water systems
• BS04 C&G Course
• Chemistry Degree
