Job Description

My client is 28 years old and lives with her husband and family in the Urmston area of Manchester.

She has learning difficulties and is a bi-lateral above knee amputee who is wheelchair dependant for all mobility purposes.

She uses intermittent self catheterisation for urinary continence and completes this unaided.

She is supported with her medication by her husband and mother and staff are not expected to support her with medication administration at all.

She has been attending specific social activities with her previous support worker and wishes to continue to attend these activities.

She enjoys arts and crafts, dance, sign language classes where they learn pop songs and making things. She attends specific activities on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We are looking for support for these days between 9.30am -3.30pm so she can continue to attend the classes she enjoys.

There is a taxi account for travel from the family home to the activities, if a support worker did not drive. A drive must have business cover.

Staff should be female and of a similar age to my client with similar interests. They must be able to interact with the family as well as with Zoe, who is proactive and can support her to find alternative local activities/ voluntary placements to take part in.

She has two Bison Friche dogs which she and her husband care for
